I am a fulltime working mom, with three kids. When I travel, I want it to be convenient, relaxing, and worth my investment. My family and I went on a weekend trip to Connecticut on 5/13/22, and stayed at Quality Inn & Suites. The biggest issue that I have had with hotels in the past are, not catering to a family of 5. Everything is typically set up for 4 people, and if you have more you can get adjoining rooms, or pay a ton of cash for a presidential suite.
First Impression
Staff was friendly and check in and out process was easy and straight forward. We stayed in a suite that was for up to 6 people. Upon entering the room, you face the beds (Our room had 2 beds, and a pull-out sofa.) There was a large coat closet, and a vanity outside the bathroom, with a coffee pot, which I loved. No one wants to do their make-up and get ready while someone is using the bathroom. The room was also equipped with a mini fridge and a microwave.
The style and set up was average of what you would expect from a hotel. Everything was clean, and comfortable, the bed linens were of average quality.
The bathroom was average size, with 2 complete sets of towels (wash cloths, face, body) of average quality. The bathroom was equipped with lotion, shower soap, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner.
The Experience
The bed and pillows were a little soft for my particular liking, but all in all comfortable.
Location was convenient. There is a 7-11 directly next door, and an Apple Bees a crossed the street.
The parking lot was very tight, the spots are really close to each other, and at the time we stayed there were a number of trucks taking up numerous spots.
Pros and Cons
Pros - Location, food and convenient stores within walking distance. Rooms for up to 6 people. Free breakfast in the morning. In room fridge, coffee pot, and microwave.
Cons - Rooms are a little small for 6 people, no view to speak of, tight parking spaces.
Overall Rating
Let me be clear on my rating scale here, because I don’t want it to seem harsh. I rate 1-5 stars. If you ever have reviews at your job on their 1-5 scale, its kind of like that.
1 star = falls below standards
2 stars= needs improvement, falls short of expectations
3 stars = meets expectations
4 stars = exceeds expectations
5 stars = entirely another category of awesome – way above target.
So essentially 3 stars is good, rather than mediocre.

This is a pretty good straight forward place to stay. If I am looking for a spot to rest with my whole team for 1-2 nights, this place is perfect. If I am on a week long vacation, its too tight for my personal comfort levels. All in all if I am driving through the area again, I will definitely book another stay here.
